Yep... but John Ruiz is an awkward fighter. Hard to hit... plus, it can't forget the time Oleg Maskeav KO'd Rahman into the ropes.

Hasim the favorite, but a dangerous bet.

I just dont have a feel for it. I see Rahman is at -188 at Olympic. Heres what makes me not touch it: Holy is washed up - has been for awhile. And he was beating Rahman up in their fight over a year ago. I'd stay away.

if rahman wasn`t so lazy,i`d grab the -188....because if he loses to ruiz,he should retire from boxing immediately.....

if ruiz is a little fat, sloppy and out of shape,he`ll be lazy and let ruiz throw his one punch and grab and maybe get worn down.....i still remeber oleg maskaev and tua stopping rahman late after rahman dominated because he was lazy and couldn`t stay focused late....

and remember ruiz rolling all over the floor from "low blows" from kirk"michelin man"johnson and then getting hurt late by a lucky ruiz right hand.....

i`m curious to see rahman`s weight before touching this....

he`s much better than ruiz....but he`s not mentally tough or always focused....ruiz is.......

What has either fighter in this bout really accomplished in their careers? I know. They have both managed to fool the public into thinking that they are deserving of headlining an HBO PPV event. In other words, they have many of us believing that they have talent in the heavyweight division. I beg to differ. Neither of these fighters is top-tier in terms of skill and ability.

A washed up Evander Holyfield made John Ruiz famous. And a careless Lennox Lewis made Hasim Rahman. In my opinion, this fight is a toss-up. It should be close and it should go to the scorecards

poorly written post by me....i meant if "rahman" is fat and sloppy, not ruiz......

agree with the gist of b.f.`s post....these guys aren`t much....ruiz particularly.....the guy built his career by ducking legit heavies.....his promoter should be in the hall of fame,though.......they saw a great opportunity vs a washed up holifield.....and kirk johnson proved to be a joke.....thought they had a shot vs "little" roy jones....their only mistake....

I feel Rahman vs. Ruiz will go just like Rahman vs. Corrie Sanders... only Corrie Sanders hits harder than Ruiz and is a better boxer, IMO.

I take Rahman to win this fight, but it wont be easy.

I bit on Piny's proposition, "Not Rahman by KO" @ -220. I do not think that Rahman will KO Ruiz in this bout. I like the style of Ruiz and the fact that Ruiz has only been KO'd once in his career. And that KO came at the hands of David Tua, who at the time was as feared as a young Mike Tyson.

Take advantage of the line while it is still relatively low (-240) at Piny.

I love proposition opportunities on boxing.

So, can anyone here see Ruiz getting stopped?

where can you go to find out what these fighters weigh in at? seems with these heavyweights you can just bet against the guy that comes in 20 pounds overweight.
